Accommodation in Shijiazhuang

Shijiazhuang is a large and growing metropolis. As a student travelling with AMBergh you have the opportunity to choose what type of accommodation you would like us to organize for you. If you book accommodation through us you can be picked up at the airport upon your arrival. You will find a person waiting for you, holding a sign with your name on it.

Placement service
If you want us to arrange accommodation for you in a family, furnished apartment, or at a hotel in Shijiazhuang, please apply to our placement service. For a service charge, we search for a suitable accommodation for you, present you with (maximum) three alternatives, and do the booking upon your agreement. Our placement service includes transfer from the airport upon your arrival in Shijiazhuang, but not the cost of rent. The price for accommodation depends on standard, location, size, and season. We strive to provide our students with a budget range. The rent is usually paid by you directly to us or to the landlord upon your arrival. Sometimes a deposit is required.

Family
As a foreign guest you will be taken in and treated as one of the family. Each of our carefully screened families provides a level of comfort that is on par with what you would find in your home country. You will receive two meals per day and have your own private, fully furnished room. All of your needs are provided, and all host family homes have 24hour hot water, AC/Heating, washing machine, modern appliances and broadband internet.
During your stay with a host-family you will find that Chinese people are among the most hospitable in the world, and will go to great lengths to make you feel at home. Many families will organize weekend excursions and you will have a very special opportunity to learn about Chinese culture firsthand as you are included in every aspect of their lives.

Private apartments
Apartments provide you with spacious, modern and comfortable housing for the duration of your program. All apartments are fully furnished with modern appliances including refrigerator, AC/heating, cable TV, broadband internet, washing machine, study desk, cooking utensils and bedding/linen etc. Each apartment is located within 15 minutes walk of the institute in a quiet and safe complex close to downtown with easy access to public transport, shopping and entertainment districts.
