Miscellaneous, Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a place to delight in, safe and fantastically well organised. Hong Kong can nudge you out of your comfort zone but usually rewards you for it, so try the stinky beancurd, sample the shredded jellyfish, brave the hordes at the city centre horseracing and join in the dawn tai chi. Watch the sun rise from a remote mountain peak, hiking surf-beaten beaches or exploring deserted islands. Hong Kong is a relatively pricey destination. Accommodation is the biggest expense, followed by drinking in Hong Kong’s bars. You can reach virtually any major destination in neighboring Guangdong province by bus from Hong Kong.

Despite Hong Kong’s comprehensive road and rail public-transport system, the territory still relies very much on ferries to get across the harbor and to reach the islands.

Hong Kong offers sophisticated performances by dynamic local companies that explore new artistic concepts while perfecting traditional styles. Whether your interests run from classical music to contemporary dance, you'll discover performances that are sure to please.

The Language Institutes are located in the city centre, conveniently close to public transportation, shopping, cultural places, ferries and restaurants.
